Title: Ash 'vs' Evil Dead
Post by: BikerDude on January 14, 2016, 08:54:52 AM
Finally out for streaming.
Rented the first season and for those who are fans of the Evil Dead franchise it does not IMO disappoint. All the twisted humor and gratuitous gore and alike.
And great music. With a real sense of humor. Like the choice of the song "Just the Two of Us" while Ash disembodies his evil twin with a chain saw.

Watched the whole season and really dug it man. Great campy fun.

On a semi related note, I once was shooed off of the filming location of the original movie---guess it's a private residence, by an old lady who gave me quite the lecture ( considering this is rural Tennessee I should probably be thankful that's all I got). I was gonna go search for the Time Capsule that Bruce Campbell mentioned in some interviews that was buried underneath the old now burned-down cabin, which was shot in Morristown Tennessee.

Season 2 is supposed to start October 2

The sort of black humor that makes the evil dead franchise so great

Ok so update on season 2.
This weekend was a marathon and I watched most of it.
I'm a huge fan of the franchise and it is well known that it pushes gratuitous gore to new levels.
It may actually be possible that season 2 manages to go too far.
I'm thinking of the morgue scene.
This breaks new ground on the gross out factor.
Not safe for work! Not safe for home! Not safe for civilized humans in any form!
So of course if you are like me you will need to watch.

The infamous morgue scene
