So yeah typing on this phone is..not great . Anyways
I'm just past 40 annnd for most of my life I've been a pretty high stung guy. I've spent a good portion of my life trying to learn to abide... I've tried many paths to achieve this ... with mostly meh results..
So last year I started getting the shakes and losing weight..  as I have let go of drinking I expected the weight loss... so after a couple of months, ya know.. just being being. I went to The doctors.. turns out I have a thyroid disorder called Graves Disease... which unfortunately is not as cool as the name suggests.. I had hoped I could do something like idk... make tombstones out of thin air or something. I digress.. so yeah with a sitting heartrate of 138 and way too much testosterone to measure it turns out my body has been in flight or fight for about a decade... which as it is... sucked ..
So yeah 2 months later on some really good, doctor prescribed pharmaceuticals annnd poof!
I. Am. Finally. Able. To. Abide.
My friends think its hilarious..
But for the first time in my life I've been able to abide ..
No more adrenaline 24/7
No getting angry at something stupid and not letting go for days...
I can't explain or Express how grateful I am to live in a country where I don't go into stupid debt to have a doc look at me and go oh, yeah, all of this debilitating symptoms? Take these and you'll feel 20 years younger and have a mental clarity and peace you have heretofore never have experienced before...
Yeah, that's it.. don't neglect yourself..
It'll come back and burn ya
Peace
Deri

Like some honest shamans would say: if you need aspirin, just take it, in your case it is the right way to make things better.
I heard a lot of silly jokes about a Catholic who refuses to go to the doctor because of the power of prayer alone and an Atheist who takes his place in the hospital. It's plain bull-you-know-what.
