The more I watch him on screen the more I am convinced that his Dudeism continues even outside TBL.

Like in the case of Terry Gilliam's 'Tideland' - if you take all of this seriously... man, the whole thing becomes rather creepy. But if you let it be like it is then it is a good movie about not condemning other people and adapting innocently to most bizarre situations. Terry Gillam happens to be the master of these of course.

Or 'Bad Times at the El Royale', where JB straightforwardly and earnestly absolves from sins as a priest with some past.

His characters may not have the easiest life but I think there is something they have in common.
