Given the Dudes affinity for bowling, should there not be a sports dude section? I appreciate that living the dude life style and sports don't seem to mesh but I would like to throw out a name and see where the discussion meanders. I would nominate 2 time Stanley Cup winner Phil Kessel of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Hot dog scarfing, fishing loving goal scoring machine who does not give a crap about what others think of him.

Yeah, man. Dudeism is compatible with athletics. After all, the Dude allegedly bowled (though there is no photographic evidence) and he clearly dabbled in Tai Chi. Me? I'm an old broken-down man, but I started (no gi) jiu-jitsu about 18 months ago. I think it's dudely. You simply can't think about work, life, problems, or other shit when someone is trying to take you down, choke you out, or twist off an arm/leg. It gets you out of your own head - which, to me, is a good part of what I get from Dudeism, in general, too.

Appreciate the thoughts. As a new member of Dudeism, (June 2018) I feel I have always been a Dudeist at heart. 2 speeds: go and stop. Go hard on the ice and then chill with your fellow dudes in the locker room having a pint. I look forward to spreading the word.

I think it would be tough to sell Hockey as being very Dude.
And that's cool man. Hockey is an awesome sport. Just more Walter than Dude IMO.
I'm thinking curling might fit the bill.
Baseball might not be a bad fit.

I have to agree that the game itself is un-dude like. That's why I voted for Phil Kessel. Doesn't take it too seriously but still produces. The dude part comes in after the game. Hockey players are fun to kick back with. Lots of kicking back in baseball, naps in between innings etc. Agree. Curling can be done with a brew in hand so attracts many a dude.  Darts and snooker fall into same sporting field for like minded folks. Cheers

I'm in training.
I've been adhering to a pretty strict, uh, drug regimen to keep my mind, you know, limber.
