I really need to mow the lawn.  I've spent the last 2 days occupying various buildings, smoking a lot of thai stick and generally accomplishing nothing.  But today is the last nice day in the forecast to get this damn lawn mowed before it starts looking like elephant grass and Walter tries crawling through it with his M16.  Should I just have a couple of caucasions and do the task at hand?
Fortunately, I'm adhering to a pretty strict, uh, drug, uh, regimen to keep my mind, you know, uh, limber

Well, sometimes you mow the lawn.... and sometimes the lawn well, he mows you down!  8)

Indeed, very profound, but I must also point out.... and I have to say this is from personal experience today... that garden hedges are also prone to fighting back. I finally gave in and trimmed the hedge and spent the next hour or so pulling bits of it from my clothing. To be fair it is a large hedge. Still excellent excuse...as if I needed one... to indulge in a couple of suitable beverages by way of compensation.

Give the lawn it's freedom, man. Enjoy the wonder of nature being what it wants to be.

As Clapton said:

"Let it grow, let it grow,
Let it blossom, let it flow
In the sun, the rain, the snow,
Love is lovely, let it grow"

The man is wise.
If at first you don't succeed ... Um ... Yeah. Whatever and stuff.
