I'll be very surprised if there is ever a legitimate announcement about a sequel to Lebowski. The Coen Brothers have expressed no interest in a sequel (in fact, they've expressed a rather strong disinterest) and I can't imagine Bridges and/or Goodman doing one without them. Also, Lebowski was something of a perfect storm--it was a movie for it's time and place. It fits right in there, and trying to re-capture what it is that makes it special, even with the Coen Brothers participation, would be almost impossible. I'd like to see a sequel if it could be done, but I'd rather see no sequel than see a bad one.
