weird interview yesterday

So I had a weird interview today for a security job, and going into it I was really stressing out man. It's basically the 2nd one I've been on since I began my search for a new line of work, and even though it's literally a no brainer thing (theres seriously no reason why I couldn't do a basic booth post) I was still sweating it.

And right away, things weren't right. The guy didn't even know why I was there even though I had an appointment signed up online (which makes me wonder why I stressed about being on time), and even though I was like the first interview for the position it was already filled. I was nervous and uptight about the whole thing I got peddled an on call job. No drug test, no background check, I was barely asked 3 questions about myself. It was harder to get a job at kohls. I'm even looking at the sheet I have to fill out for direct deposit and it wasn't even photocopied right.

But lesson learned. I should of just laughed knowingly and walked out. I'm gonna go back in a day or so and return the uniform and try my luck elsewhere. place doesn't even have the best of reviews on glassdoor.

The signs were there, Dude, and you picked up on 'em--that place isn't/wasn't where you want to be.  If they can't even get it together for a simple interview, I can't imagine how bad it would be to work for them day after day after day.

Years ago I went on a job interview, and the negative energy at the facility was so pervasive that it was like someone had placed a lead overcoat on my shoulders the moment I stepped through the door.  I knew instantly that it wasn't where I was supposed to be, but I interviewed anyway just to see what would happen.  It went well and I was offered the position, but...well, long story short, I didn't take the job and ended up getting a decent pay raise where I was already working.

I suppose the moral of my story is this:  Abide, relax, and go with the flow, and when the right job comes along you'll know it.
