Well said man. Goes right along with the fact that so many people are worried about their status in today's society that they lose sight of what really important- family, good living, memories... Most are too worried about the big house, expensive piece of shit car, etc. and before they know it their kids are all fuck ups because they were never home rearing them properly and old age is setting in. But at least they had a nice house and car! :p

Great piece right there. I especially liked the first reason. The whole thing is like a good slap in the face - abrupt, but it gets your attention.

I live by those words, although in the parlance of our times, I say it  a bit different:

When she* confides in me that she is a bit worried about what others think,  I tell my special lady friend (she's my wife)  the following:
They don't care what you look like or act like, - - - - - -they are too busy worrying about what other people think they look like or act like.
