Rev Doctor Abidingly

This is my all time favorite song that I am going to share in this post.  This song I always come back to.   It will remain my favorite for all time.  I have even had at least a few question about my masculinity or taste having this as my favorite but there's no shame for me when it comes to this song.  Haha!  For me, it is always abiding to listen to.  I find it relaxing and a little sad in its own way.  I hope you dudes enjoy it!  Just thought I would share my favorite and ask if there are any songs out there that other dudes feel the same way about?  Are there any songs you just always come back to?

The song is "Son of a Preacher Man" by Dusty Springfield.  I just LOVE it!

This may seem weird, but what the hell, right?

My personal favourite songs when I'm feeling shitty are as follows:

Born At The Wrong Time, by Abney Park

United We Stand, from the movie 'The Magic Sword: Quest For Camelot'

Son Of Man, from the Disney animated movie 'Tarzan'

If Today Was Your Last Day, by Nickelback

Walk, by Foo Fighters

Vivir Mi Vida, by Marc Anthony (It helps if you know the English translation of the lyrics)

Sunsets, by Powderfinger

Hope these help, Dude.

Peace,
Pete Arronax

Favorite song, eh? I got a few:

Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd

Looking Out My Back Door by CCR
and Hello Mary Lou, also CCR

The Thing That Should Not Be by Metallica

Dream Warriors by Dokken

All Night Long by Lionel Richie

That's just the tip of the iceberg, man. I could go on and on  8)

I typically find narrowing things down to that level impossible.

I just watched St. Vincent last night. Which was a great movie.
It ended with Bill Murray listening to shelter from the storm by Dylan.
I hadn't heard that song for many years and it made me realize how great it is.
And I am by no means a Dylan fan.

Music depends on context for me.
I spent the weekend listening to North Mississippi Allstars.

Well, there's a lot of songs that'd be near the top of my list, if there were such a list. But if I am to pick just one favourite, then it's Nothing Else Matters by Metallica. A couple of other worthy mentions lately include My House by Pvris, and St. James Infirmary performed by Hugh Laurie.

ZenDudeist

Impossible question man, but sheesh... maybe the live version of knockin on heaven's door with Bob Dylan and Tom Petty or Shine A Light by the Stones.

HolyDude

I don't have a favorite song but I have a favorite group: RAMMSTEIN!

It's weird but I find 90s rap kinda relaxing. They're my "go to" songs (if not favorite songs) for that reason. Probably an associational thing with adolescence. Having hoarse dudes yelling about shoving gats in random orifices (orificii?) and how my mom is a bitch isn't really all that relaxing if you think about it.

RandoRock

What I Got- Sublime is one I find pretty relaxing, I honestly think it fits in with the Dudeist lifestyle quite nicely.

Open Arms-Journey is my wedding song so I have to give the nod to that one.

Then when I feel the need to take it all the way to 11 anything by Pantera usually does the trick.

I have a new "current favorite" song dudes!  I discovered it for myself in the recent past and really dig it.  Great song man!  I still always come back to the song I posted earlier but this one is particularly relaxing to listen to.  And its sung by Jeff Bridges himself!  Check it out:

I have a wide range of genres of music I like but have been listening to stuff of the mellower variety lately.  This song fits right in there.  It the song for its time and place for me.  Hope you Dudes enjoy it too!

BTW, song is "She Lay Her Whip Down" by Jeff Bridges and the Abiders.
Take 'er easy, Dudes!

Oh yes. Good one. I have posted mine a few times but I would say here 'After all' by David Bowie.
