Michelle Obama's Scandalous Attire in Saudi Arabia

So, yeah, FLOTUS (first lady of the united states) didn't wear a traditional headscarf during the recent visit to the new Saudi king. (Random Aside - is anyone else a little disappointed the term "king" is still so relevant in 2015?)

Anyway, the headscarf is essentially mandatory for Saudi women but foreigners get a pass on the legal requirement. The pressure to conform and wear the damn thing is obviously still pretty heavy. Good on FLOTUS. To their credit, most of those who met her were fairly cool with it. Some shook hands, most didn't, but no one tried to cut off her head or stone her family. One more step towards recognizing that, godamnityoumuslimbastard, there is no right to not be offended.
