One who is a Dude must before all things keep constantly in mind...the fact that he has to take it easy.

Funny you should bring this up.

I was looking at the same article today.

I have a vested interest, as an ex beaten husband I caused some shock amongst my family and friends this year when I posted an article and comments against it's inherent sexism.

(On Facebook) As an ex beaten husband I object to the bias of this article.

And linking to my blog post.

Expressing my concern that every time the subject of domestic violence comes to the forefront in the press it is continually portrayed as a male beating female problem and my situation is never portrayed.

And am often confused as to why certain chocolate adverts can have male strippers in them when if the same was done from a male point of view there would be out and out condemnation from feminists.

I too was beaten by an ex, and got feedback from feminists that "You must have deserved it".  WTF?

I actually got the opportunity many years ago to debate with the creators of a national campaign against domestic violence (men beating women again) and was told by them that women beating men was too small a statistic. To which I replied that because of campaigns like theirs men were not coming forward and reporting these issues so the statistics were wrong.

Even at a government level recent legislation has been billed in the media as protecting women from men's abuse. Not discussing and addressing the problem of domestic violence as a whole.
