Heartbroken family warns of synthetic pot after teen's death.

The family of a California teen whose life was cut tragically short after smoking synthetic pot is on a mission to prevent future tragedies. Connor Eckhardt, 19, who lived in the Newport Beach area died on July 16 after smoking one hit of synthetic marijuana, which is also known as SPICE and K2. Connor went into a coma shortly after smoking the drug.

Connor's parents created a Facebook page to honor him and warn others about the dangers of synthetic pot.

I understand this is probably not the right thing to mention instead of compassion, but how come people didn't figure out that SPICE is crap yet?
Is it cheaper than pot? Easier to get? 'Cooler' to use? No idea. I haven't heard a single positive SPICE story from anyone who tried it. It was always like 'I'm never touching that sh*t again and I feel stupid for trying it'

Not a partaker, but I would think the real thing is a lot easier to grow. And cheaper.

Synthetic pot is like real a bummer, man. I would compare it trying to have zesty coitus with something like this...

that's alright, fellow sweet tooth! the pot smoking community isn't like the hardcore drinkers community who goes 'don't you respect me?!' when you refuse booze :)

afaik spice got popular becuase it was an attempt to make 'legal' pot. it was even advertised on bigboards in my country. what a disgrace...
obviously its legality quickly got flushed down the toilet after a few tragic accidents like this.
yet the real thing is still illegal and we are yet to hear of one case of death related to it. like Bruce Jingles (a standup comedian) said: 'What's the worst thing you can do on weed? Stop at a green light?'

Legal Pot is like Christian Rock.
On face value it looks like it's the "good alternative".
But in reality, all it does is serve the forces of darkness and make the "Bad" stuff look/sound a whole lot better.

Legal pot is not good.
Legalizing pot is good.
Legal pot=Spice.

Oohhh, I completely misunderstood. Now that I've reread that, it's obvious that's what you meant. I agree then with you, they both are just plain terrible.

considering the vast difference in both the effect and its longevity I wouldn't dare compare pot to spice, not that I've tried the latter.

Coitus with a blow up doll in a swimming pool is a highly dangerous activity, it being all zesty too, surely with only one ending, of a man too exhausted to swim out of the pool and drowned. A well highlighted warning to all dude!

Definitely should have some sort of government health warning to that effect.

This is what happens, Larry. This is what happens when you make nice things illegal.
