Philip Seymour Hoffman found dead at age 46

Actor Philip Seymour Hoffman, who won an Academy Award for the film "Capote," was found dead in his New York City apartment on Sunday in what a police source described as an apparent drug overdose.

Hoffman, 46, was found unresponsive on the bathroom floor of his Greenwich Village apartment by police responding to an emergency 911 call, and Emergency Medical Service workers declared him dead on the scene, the New York City Police Department said in a statement. An investigation was ongoing.

That's a bummer, that's a bummer, man! He was a good man, and thorough, DB's head is bowed.

A common mistake amongst ex-addicts is to stop using then go back and make up the sort of dosage they were use to before not realising they had built up a tolerance, and thus overdosing themselves thinking they could still tolerate the same amounts as before.

I have to admit I'm not a doctor this is just something I heard.

Yup, sounds logical. No doubt that has killed a lot of users.

Another one that gets them is purity. They get used to a low purity and up the dose they take due to them building up a tolerance. Every now and then you'll get a purer batch come by and BAM you get a sudden large amount of deaths from the experienced users.
