I normally point out obvious causes of most "orb" photos, typically dust or insects and a flash camera.

Well, now I have some pictures that I don't have an immediate explanation for.  I've put them here:

Notes on the pictures...

The camera is automatic motion sensing.  If it's dark out, it switches to night mode and turns on an infrared LED array just long enough to get a light reading and snap the picture, 1-2 seconds.  It then sleeps for 1 minute before rearming the motion sensor.  It's intended to photograph animals, not aliens.  :)

We had some drizzle, so at least most of the vertical streaks are rain dripping off the table the camera was under.

I haven't seen a spot wandering around like this before.  If it's an insect, it stayed in front of the camera for a long time (note the time stamps on the photos).

In one of the photos there seems to be a glow on the fence to the lower left of the spot.  That would imply the spot is NOT close to the camera.

NO, I do not have a 3D night vision camera I could set up to check this.  Especially since I haven't seen the spot before or since.  I also don't have funds to pay a professional photo analyst.

Shagbeard

Moth and it reflected the light in some of those pics which made a look like light columns.
The Shagbeard abides...
You can call me Shagbeard, or Shaggy, or Shag or Shaggybearder if your not into the whole shortness thing

Didn't know of moths that hang out in one place for that long at oh-dark-hundred.  I generally figure they're all asleep at that time.
