Rev. Iconocclesiastes

This week's verse; the Parable of the "ears of corn":

The parable of those who spend
of their substance in the way of Allah
is that of a grain of corn:
It grows seven ears, and each ear has a hundred grains.
Allah gives manifold increase to whom He pleases;
And Allah cares for all and He knows all things.

Quran (2:261)

Hominid

QuoteAllah gives manifold increase to whom He pleases; And Allah cares for all and He knows all things.

...which demonstrates the problem with bronze age "holy" texts. Not only do they show the bias of the writer that he thinks a sky daddy exists, but their writings contradict themselves at every turn.  A beer to the first person to spot this one.

Iconoclesiastes don't post it if you're not going to engage properly.

Discuss the point.

Precisely what are the "rules of engagement" with respect to how we are to interact with one another as participants within the context of this message board?

I just want to understand this, sir.  What exactly is it to "engage properly" here, in your estimation?  Please spell it out for me, so that I do not accidentally go over the line.

The OP is my "verse from a sacred text (other than the Bible) of the week".  That IS the point, just as the subject line says.

This week's verse; the Parable of the "beers of corn":

The parable of those who spend
of their substance in the way of the Dude
is that of a In N Out Burger:
It grows seven beers, and each beer has a hundred burgers.
The Dude gives manifold increase to whom He abides;
And The Dude cares for all and He knows all things that are like his opinion, man.
The Dude (2:261)...dig the way he does business.
