Clear majority favors legal marijuana, new Gallup poll shows

Americans who believe marijuana should remain illegal are now in the minority, according to new poll numbers released Tuesday.

For the first time ever in a Gallup poll, a clear majority of the country ? 58 percent ? say that pot should be legalized. That figure represents an increase of 10 percentage points since last year, according to Gallup. The poll surveyed 1,028 Americans by phone Oct. 3-6.

It will only become legalised in Australia, when the USA fully legalises it.

People are slowly but steadily pulling their heads out of their asses on the matter.

I don't think it will be legalized fully though. Legalizing it removes the criminal element from it, and the criminal element does not pay taxes. It pays directly into the government's pocket. Why would the government want to spend marijuana money on the country when thy can have it for themselves?
