Hello Dudes,

Never been much of a coffee person, but due to a sore throat, I started drinking tea. I've found it to be very relaxing, and recently discovered that there are many health benefits in drinking it, especially green tea.

So, just as a conversation starter, what do other dudes think of a nice cup of tea to relax?

Like, what types of tea? do you like it with milk? Do you absolutely hate it? etc.

I'm British! I do not understand your question! Of course I like tea. You strange person! ;)
Love is like a butterfly it goes where it pleases and it pleases where it goes. :)

I'm a Canuck, so I also appreciate a fine tea. Milk? Hm, depends on the tea, but I can't remember which ones I tried it with. A friend of mine once said she wanted to start a tea shop, and she wanted me to help out. (She's from Ohio.) I think I have something like 25 types of tea in my home right now. Seriously.

I'm British as well and don't understand your strange foreigners question, are you suggesting one may actually consider drinking some other beverage?

I have drunk tea most of my life but mostly since an accountant I worked with about twenty five years ago mentioned if you drink coffee all day your breath ends up smelling like an over percolated coffee pot (or more precisely like you've been eating your own faeces)

How can anyone not like tea? It's tea!

Iced tea, next to beer, my favorite!

When I worked in an office I drank it literally by the gallon, plain English breakfast tea or tetleys for short ;)
Unfortunately I discovered I was massively overdosing on caffeine as a result and now I can only drink decaf tea. I like dark leaf teas, none of your fruity tooty nonsense

I  dunno, I just wanted it to be a conversation starter. I recently took a class on tea culture; things like japanese tea ceremonies, Chinese mythology, culture of hospitality in the Middle East, etc.

Its just interesting how people create such interesting cultural ideals based on simple comforts. Very dudely if you ask me.

Britain is built on Tea! In more ways than one too.

Wasn't built on The Beatles, The Who and The Stones? 8)

Also a Canuck, but like many of us (note the somewhat disturbing proliferation of Tim Hortons franchises), I drank coffee by the gallon before attempting to achieve a balance by supplementing with tea ... especially of the decaffeinated variety. My usual now: morning - coffee; lunch - coffee; post dinner - tea; pre-sleep - tea (insert lots of non-rug micturition between each). Orange pekoe, green, chai, earl grey... Whatever is set in front of me. A class on tea culture sounds really interesting by the way.

This doesn't just apply to gardening Rev paddy. But every aspect of work. It is part of our British work ethic!

Tea is also used in as crisis because "it makes everything better"

Tea can be used as pick me up or to relax. Before breakfast and at bedtime tea is wondrous stuff!

The Beatles and the Stones and the Who all drunk tea DB! :)

Ha, no, I never let a lack of gardening stop me from enjoying a good tea.

Though I am happy being a Canuck, I like the sound of the British work ethic, and intend to incorporate it more thoroughly into my own. Must be the influence of the Commonwealth...

I like to brew a cup of Jasmine Green with a lump or two.  I find it soothing.  It really puts me in a mood to achieve a state of cosmic oneness with the universe.
