Masked Dude

A friend of mine named Billy just told us that his friend, Jeffrey, was beaten and later died from his injuries. This guy was harmless, was always nice to everyone, even brought books & magazines about trains for Billy's son.

I don't know, dudes, the world is going crazy. I'm feeling really undude right now. I didn't even know this guy, but my friend Billy is a good guy who likes nearly everyone. I look at the violence and get physically sick. Don't get me wrong, I've seen people die in front of me, but lately some of this shit is hitting me harder than it has in the past.

I don't understand how someone can have such little respect for another's life or safety. I've helped save lives before and didn't think twice. I just cannot fathom having such contempt for the life of another human being.

Please, dudes, no politics in this thread.

Shit like that makes me sick. Unchecked aggression, man; highly undude! RIP Jeffrey, supportive vibes to the family who lost him. :(

Hey Masked Dude,

What a horrible event-- I' really sorry to hear about your (and others') loss. There's nothing undude about what you're feeling, man. Violent acts have real consequences -- and they ought to make us physically ill and wish for something better.

Peace, dude.
The clouds above us come together and disperse;
The breeze in the courtyard departs and returns.
Life is like that, so why not relax?
Who can keep us from celebrating?

Salut l'ami.

I send many goods and friendly vibes for you and your buddy. I know what a free aggression is like, it happened to me 10 years ago, but it turns out that I had more luck than your dude's friend.

As many have said before in this tread, your rage answering to this situation is completly normal. We are animals before being dudes, we live with emotions, and all emotions are not dude-like. Try to focus the energy of your rage on something to do. Draw, make a music, write a poem, crave some wood... Even if you find that it looks like nothing after, the point is to evacuate the flood, not the final shape.

I'll drink one oat soda for you tonight.
I'm the Dothradude, Dude.
