If you happened to know that a member of the Dudeist church: A male member over 40 years old had posted the following on a teen dating site what would you do?

Nice gentleman seeking a lady with the same qualities. Strong Christian faith a plus. Maturity a double plus. I am a firm believer in chemistry, and don't missionary date. I am not lowering my standards."

The dudes profile on the dating site states that he is 13 years old and is looking for a girl of a similar age.

I can't see any other reason for an older man to join a teen dating site, lie about his own age and try to pick up young girls other than pedophilia and/or kidnapping.
In my opinion it doesn't matter what religion they are (even though the, undudely imho, muslims seem to think it's ok. SMH), a kidnapper/pedophile is a kidnapper/pedophile and they should be locked up and undergo some serious mental health treatment.

Turn em in dude, you'll probably save the life, or at least mental health, of some little kid out there somewhere, and if he's truly not doing anything wrong then so be it but it seems quite suspicious to me.

Caesar Dude, here in the UK we have a quick and easy procedure to report someone who is grooming a child online. You contact an organisation called CEOP, it's a national police organisation.


I don't know if you have anything similar in your neck of the woods, but you probably do. Drop the dime, man.

If you're sure it's him, I'm with purple_drank - if something happened, you'd feel like a louse for not reporting it. In the least, reporting him will make him aware others are onto his shit.

I know exactly who it is: I reported him a while ago to his local police dept. who then contacted me but I didn't follow it up as I had other things to deal with as I'm sure you know.

However recently this guy has decided to email me out of the blue boasting to me that he has now rejoined the Dudeism forum and his happily enjoying himself here.!

Just wanted to get some input.

I hope things across the big pond is going well for you, and that no I am not in jail nor prison. Oh the police department when I was waiting in the lobby never cuffed me, nor took me into a room for a interview. I shown the copy of the emails and off of dudeism.com in which the officer laughed. He responded that "We were never contacted." "We don't need to question you." "The emails are not to be worried over., and he (you) are over across the big pond." So yes I went twice for your feeble attempts of thinking I'm going to get it from the police. I have not heard from you as of late, and was saying "Tally ho!"

You're a very strange person Wesley.

I had other things to take care of closer to home which is one of the reasons I never followed up on my initial emails to the police force in Menome. Oh and just in case you think I didn't, then I will happily give you the police Sergeants name who corresponded with me so on your next visit you can ask for the guy in person. In the meantime Chief Deputy Paul Gunness will look after you next time you call.

Truth be told. I'd sort of forgotten about you but if you want to start a dialogue, then I'm right here to listen to what you have to say. You see, as I said I've been a bit busy in my own personal life so didn't really give you much thought. However now you've brought yourself to mind again let's start with an examination of the facts as I see them:

At first I thought you were a guy trying to pass himself of as a vet. That annoyed me to be hoest cos I am a vet and I don't like that sort of thing. Then I discover that ok you're a 14 year old kid trying to big himself up. Phht! No worries. I think a bit of a verbal slap will do you good! Oh but no...then you show me your papers which tell me you are in your 40's! Which means mate that you were lying on the websites that I discovered your age on ie 14 years old and trying to entice 14 year old girls on the same websites to have dates with!

Now that to me is far far worse! That shows me something much more sinister about you than just being a military wannabe. It shows me that you are a predator and probably a paedophile.

Strangely enough, after I called you out on the fact that I knew where you lived and was aware of what you were up to those website profiles disappeared as did all of your posts on the dudeism website. Don't worry though I have screenshots of both websites.

Questions for you: Why did you have two profiles on different websites looking for 14 year old girls? Why on earth have you contacted me after all this time? Do you wish to be interviewed properly by the police because that is what your actions are suggesting: I shall be happy to send them all our email conversations and of course the screenshots of your fake profiles.

I did alert your police department on your terroristic threats, and since all of our emails will be on file somewhere I'm not worried anymore. I know its a mighty big pond and over in merry ole england things might be grand over there. I'm very very happy here so pip pip and cheery-oh have a fine day in the U.K. Oh btw everything is on my file and I can reprint at anytime. I'd turn over any evidence and just let the police handle it. Hopefully they lock him away so no children ever fall into his trap.

I know it was my initial investigation that brought up the other sites with the e-mail link. And an e-mail is much like a fingerprint nowadays.

The problem I had with this was the way the guy writes like a juvenile.

And from your examples still writes like a juvenile.

Though he has provided documentation, it would not be above any fourteen year old to forge said documentation.

Also it's not that difficult to spot what name he is posting under. Just look for the "This is my opinion" posts and look for immensely poorly constructed plagiarisms claimed as original thought. Then idiot argument trying to back a point of view inadequately understood.

Someone needs to investigate this guy. If there is any chance that children are at risk, he needs to be investigated. Not beaten up, or thrown in jail: just investigated.


If he's pretending to be 40 years old in the forum, but appears 13 years old elsewhere on the internets and is actually 13 years old IRL, no harm, no foul.


If he's pretending to be 13 years old elsewhere on the web, appears to be 40 years old on the forum and is actually 40 years old IRL, then he has some explaining to do to the cops.


But investigating is a job for the cops, not anyone here. Our only obligation (and it is an obligation on me - I have a professional duty to report any child protection issues I encounter) is to report it.
