Hi all Dudes! I just want to say what an honor it is to be here. This is my first post so I thought I would make it good, and if not, oh well.

I've been following the Dudes story for a few years now, and it has honestly changed my entire life. Without the Dudeism, I think I'd just be a tumbleweed. Then again being a tumbleweed may not be so bad, ah hell I don't know what I'm saying.

I've more or less been a huge fan of Buddhism for a while now, and I can really see how Dudeism and Buddhism are alike. Without Dudeism, and before I saw TBL, I was a very uptight person. I was always busy with one thing or another, trying to figure out a way to make some money. My inner self just wanted to chill on the couch and relax, look out the window and watch the trees and the birds. It wasn't until TBL and Dudeism that I finally saw the way life should be. Living the life of the Dude can be difficult, especially in a world where your forced into the mindset that being an achiever is all there is.

The way I see it, all these people out there are all trying to impress somebody else, or are under the false assumption that they need to change themselves through consuming and gossip. It's hard for people to break out of that vicious cycle.

Anyways, I gotta roll. I hope to be a good contributing dude here in the future.

Peace.

The only one person you ever have to impress is you dude...only you.

A belated welcome to AirplaneDude - like your style, man.
Dudeism has definitely helped me loosen up and remember to let go, not hold on to things. Without it I think my shoulders would still have that knot in them and I'd go back to overthinking... Not a very Dudely thing.
I'll toast you all, my fellow Dudes, with an oat soda (Rolling Rock) when I get home tonight.
