Anyone else having problems accessing the dudeism website?

QuoteWordfence has limited your access to this site

Your access to this service has been temporarily limited. Please try again in a few minutes. (HTTP response code 503)

Reason: Exceeded the maximum global requests per minute for crawlers or humans.

Important note for site admins: If you are the administrator of this website note that your access has been limited because you broke one of the Wordfence firewall rules. The reason you access was limited is: "Exceeded the maximum global requests per minute for crawlers or humans.". If this is a false positive, meaning that your access to your own site has been limited incorrectly, then you will need to regain access to your site, go to the Wordfence "options" page, go to the section for Firewall Rules and disable the rule that caused you to be blocked. For example, if you were blocked because it was detected that you are a fake Google crawler, then disable the rule that blocks fake google crawlers. Or if you were blocked because you were accessing your site too quickly, then increase the number of accesses allowed per minute. If you're still having trouble, then simply disable the Wordfence firwall and you will still benefit from the other security features that Wordfence provides. You will find instructions below on how to regain access if you are a site administrator.

If you are a site administrator and have been accidentally locked out, please enter your email in the box below and click "Send". If the email address you enter belongs to a known site administrator or someone set to receive Wordfence alerts, we will send you an email to help you regain access.

A few times, CC Dude, but only for a few minutes. This is our concern, fellow admins and dudes.

sorry about this, fellers. it seems to be a conflict between wordfence (a security program) and the caching plugin. i was primarily hearing from people in europe who were having this problem but i guess it's in the states as well. it finally happened to me as well for the first time. i can't figure out why it's happening. bummer man, that's a bummer. i don't want to have to disable wordfence - it really keeps the hackers away.
I'll tell you what I'm blathering about...

forumdude

by the way, you can always access other pages in the site apparently - just the homepage is affected it seems. i could be wrong about that though.

I get the denied access if I click on the link here or the one I have bookmarked in my browser, but I can get right in if I do a search for Dudeism and click on a page link in the search window.
Not sure why that works? 8)

No worries, Forumdude; when it tanks for a while, I just get me a lane and abide; a few beers, a few burgers, well, you know the rest...troubles are over, dude. 8)

Is the site so busy that caching can't be disabled until the bug is fixed? Just a curiosity, not a recommendation. I'm not a WP guru... There's only one line in wordfence that knows how to make the error message we're seeing, and I chased it back toward its origin but not all the way because PHP makes my eyes bleed. I'm sure fellers much wiser'n myself know more about  it than I do.

Here I go ramblin' again, and I've not had any mind altering substances in days. Maybe that's the problem.
I'm just gone, man, totally fucking gone.

forumdude

caching could be disabled but i still wouldn't know how to fix it. i guess i could hire someone to debug. are you guys still getting the lockout error?
