I think it's because 99% of my family and friends aren't dudeist priests, nor can they understand the motivation to be one.  We're a small slice of society dude! A great one like you say, but fairly unique. I've had a couple bad experiences on FB, but I've been able to adequately deal with them; the upside being I stay in touch with - again - family and friends. If and when it goes south really bad, I'll be done.
