I guess that is what I'm saying dude. Specifically I think that people often separate out their public and private selves like this doctor clearly did. Jimmy Saville and loads of wierdos do the same thing. But these are the extreme examples of an uptight process that effects most of us; where we don't want people to see our shit so we sell a lie about ourselves. The Dude never pretended to be anything other than a bum. He told the truth about himself and took the hit of occasional social stigmatisation. So yeah DB when I say we need psycho-babble I'm talking shit. What we need is Dudeism.
