Unworthy adversaries.

The thing that comes to mind is that this is all being run by a guy at a PC somewhere.
Now I'm betting that you get something like.
"Dude's! Check this out. I'm gonna frag a mortar team!"
Lots of Army Dude's gathering around the screen eating hot pockets.
"Wait for it, wait for it, Boooooooyaaaaaa!"
High fives all around....

You ever dabble in pacifism BD?

I don't believe that you can apply the same solution to all problems.
You start with peace and then deal with the paraquat when necessary.
The reality is that the righteous are served best by what gets the job done.
The reality is that Gandhi for instance only succeeded because that was how the balance sheet came out. There just wasn't a huge deposit of oil or diamonds under India.
If there had been then peaceful resistance would have just made them easier to put the crosshairs on.
I believe in Fighting the good fight. That does happen on a lot of fronts and a lot of ways.
But when it comes to meeting fanatic Islamic Fundamentalism with violence. No problem.
I also believe in meeting racism and every other paraquatism with extreme prejudice.
It simply does not fix it's self. That has been the reality forever in the past and will be the same forever in the future.
I just worry that violence often seems like an attractive short term fix but maybe it does more harm long-term because of the negative vibes it puts out into the cosmo-sphere. Can't help feeling that the Dude's low point was saying "We're gonna cut your dick off Larry".

Well sit and chant while the zips overrun the compound if you like but I don't think it accomplishes a thing.
If there's another option then that's all good.
If you believe in something else then take part.
I'm not completely unsure that progress can't be made with engagement.
But once the gloves are off that's just another front.

Drone strike NOW PLEASE!

Here's a dude who walked the walk. Personally I just think he got lucky that he didn't run into the same guys as Daniel Pearl or the guy in the video above.
I know I'm not alone. Michael Franti.

Franti is also an advocate for peace in the Middle East. His film I Know I'm Not Alone features footage of Iraq, the Palestinian territories, and Israel. Franti decided to embark on this three week journey with friends to view the cost of war in the Middle East first-hand. Franti states, "This film came out of my frustration with watching the nightly news and hearing generals, politicians, and pundits explaining the political and economic cost of the war in the Middle East, without ever mentioning the human cost. I wanted to hear about the war by the people affected by it most: doctors, nurses, poets, artists, soldiers, and my personal favorite, musicians."[16] The film aims to speak multiple generations and to give people a better understanding of the people who still live in war-torn countries. He did not embark on the trip for the film with any special government groups or organizations, but instead bought plane tickets and headed off to Iraq, the Palestinian territories, and Israel armed with nothing more than his guitar and an extreme passion for music and a love of people. He says, "When I first had the idea for this journey, I had no idea how to get to Iraq and almost no idea how to make a film. After discovering that all you need to get into Iraq is a plane ticket, I prayed that movie making would be that simple..."[4]

In 2001 Franti was awarded the Domestic Human Rights Award by Global Exchange, and international NGO based in San Francisco, for his work to end war.

In 2006, he was invited by Australian Labour MP Jenny Macklin to show the film at Australia's Parliament House, Canberra.[17]

Yeah the Larry comment was a low. For anybody. Sad pathetic and unsurprising. Fake pacifism exposed for what it often is. It's a thin line between pacifism and cowardice. The guy above is a pacifist. He showed some nuts going over to the mid east like that.
