Illinois:  Gun and Magazine Ban and Registration Schemes Pass in Senate Public Health Committee.

House bill 1263,and house bill 815.

Among other things, House Bill 815 would:

- Prohibit anyone without a FOID card from using a commercial shooting range, which in many cases would make it impossible to introduce new shooters to the safe and responsible use of firearms.
Grant the State Police broad discretion to impose design, construction and operation standards that could shut down most commercial shooting ranges.

Ban possession of magazines and other feeding devices that hold more than ten rounds of ammunition.  A "grandfather clause" would require registration by owners of such devices and give the State Police discretion to impose and charge fees.  Registration would require "proof of ownership" that could be impossible for most people to provide, and even registered owners could not transfer magazines within Illinois, except to an heir or a licensed dealer.  Transfers of "grandfathered magazines" would have to be reported to the ISP.

- Violations of this magazine ban would be a felony.  Failure to report theft or loss of a magazine would be a misdemeanor until the third violation, which would be a felony.

House Bill 1263 would:

- Ban, at a minimum, all detachable-magazine semi-automatic rifles and pistols. Remington 7400 deer rifles, Ruger 10/22 squirrel guns, Glocks, 1911s, etc. This ban would include about 80% of handguns now sold in the U.S.

- Possibly ban all semi-automatic rifles and even revolvers or single-shot pistols with the capacity to accept muzzle brakes or compensators.

- Ban "assault weapon attachments," so possession of a thumbhole stock, a pistol grip,or a fore-end (a "shroud" that "partially or completely encircles the barrel") would be a crime even if you didn't possess a firearm.

- Ban all .50 BMG rifles.

- Contains "grandfather" provisions that would require registration by owners of devices and give the State Police discretion to impose and charge fees. Registration would require "proof of ownership."

-  Create felony penalties for violation of this ban on guns or attachments.

- Create lost and Stolen penalties that would criminalize victims of gun theft.

Anti-gun politicians are attempting to sacrifice my constitutional rights as a scapegoat for the criminal acts of violence in Chicago by gangs and drug dealers.
Criminals -- by definition -- violate laws, especially gun control laws, including often: murder, rape, robbery, drug-dealing, gang violence, firearm theft, carrying concealed firearms without a license/permit, federal gun-free school zones. They do not obey gun bans, register their firearms, or get subjected to any gun control schemes (like the lone state ban on carrying concealed firearms for self-defense) that only affect and penalize law-abiding citizens like ME!

These actions prove once again that Chicago politicians seem more focused on creating new classes of criminals out of law-abiding citizens than dealing effectively with their current violent crime problems.

Fuck,dudes....let us pray.
I have made my voice heard to all my state reps...what else can a dude do?

Its only 8 AM right now..too soon to start drinking?
Im going to be a felon,my 86 year-old father is going to be a felon,my mom is going to be a felon,my wife is going to be a felon,if we dont goose-step to the Nazis tune.

Take your rights seriously,dudes-what is going down here could pave the way for the same thing to happen in YOUR state,YOUR country..

It's amazing what actually sounds like a good idea to some people without the knowledge to understand what they're regulating.  Thankfully, as of yet the state where I live hasn't started to consider passing laws like these.
To me it's like all the people that are pushing to reinstate the "assault weapon ban," and I can't help but chuckle a little when I look in my gun safe and see a Ruger 10-22 that could suddenly be illegal sitting beside a few rifles that wouldn't be a part of that law that are far more powerful than AR-15's let alone my little plinker.

My answer is simple...........

The beauty of the 2nd Amendment is that it won't ever be an issue unless a tyrannical government takes it away from the People." ~ Thomas Jefferson

The assault weapon,as they call it,is not the problem-its an insanity issue..crazy people with guns that are "scary" looking..
If we had lower capacity magazines, the sandy hook shooter may have had to reload-would have that made one bit of difference?
I can change a mag in one second..could you get to a crazy person, and disarm him in one second?

I cant help but think of president Kennedy,was killed with a bolt-action rifle..not a "scary" looking "assault"rifle.

This magazine bullshit would allow me to have my horrible, nasty 30 round mags,BUT I would have to "prove ownership" of these..you ever see a mag that is serial-numbered?
The only mag I have that is numbered is the one that is on my Lee-Enfield bolt rifle, made in 1943..a much more powerful rifle than a AR-15...and.....well....ten shots can be put on target in a fucking very short time..just ask anyone who has any experience.
The little Ruger 10-22 can be broken down,so it is now a horrible thing..
I am thinking of getting a curio and relic FFL myself-dude,I am sure I am already on "watch lists" for my vocal work on stopping this madness,so who the fuck cares if I get on another list at this point..
I am looking at getting a 50 plus year-old gun..a Tokarev pistol....a pistol that fires a round that was able to punch thru a German steel helmet..it may be able to penetrate modern body armor..Im going full-on Walter, because I think a shit-storm is going to come down sooner or later..

Please,if you dont belong to the NRA,JOIN...you may not agree with everything they do,or like the people, but PLEASE,hold your nose, and cut them a check@!
Im upping my membership..these are the only people who are fighting for US!
Thats my rant for today,dudes..sorry for being a bummer...

I wrote to a dude friend...

To address your comment on how people feel about so-called "high-powered automatic weapons;" my answer is what is a "high-powered automatic weapon?" Who decides what "too powerful" is? The pond scum, Adam Lanza, that killed 26 people in Connecticut could have done the same thing with a regular .22 rifle any Boyscout learns to use. What does so-called "high powered" mean? It sounds scary to some people, but its a ruse! It's propaganda used by gun grabbers, as I mentioned, liars like Diane Feinstein, to scare the public into believing that "high powered" weapons pose a worse threat than what might be called "low powered" weapon.

Believe me, Dude, you don't want to be shot with a "low powered" .22 plinking target rifle. It will kill just as fast. The entire pile of garbage about so-called "high powered weapons" are lies and deceptions. High powered? How about a standard hunting shotgun; do you think if a person took a shot from that to the chest they would brush it off because it was not a "high powered weapon?" You know what, if a person was hit in the chest with one, low powered or not, they're dead. You see my point, Art? The whole argument is crap, period. Should we take standard hunting shotguns from the public? How about standard issue .45 army pistols? They are VERY high powered. Again; get hit in the chest, low or high powered, you're dead.

CNN recently called the rifle used in Connecticut a "snagging powerful weapon such as the AR-15." "snagging powerful weapon?!!" That's laughable, and typical of the trash that comes out of CNN!! I have a Winchester 306 regular hunting rifle far more powerful than the .223 used in Connecticut.

Do you think being shot with a "low powered weapon" really makes any difference? And, people in Switzerland all own them, they are required to do so by law, fully automatic assault weapons I mean. Which they all keep at home. No one seems to have a problem with them there. They have had a shooting, but the shooter was drunk; should we ban alcohol too?

Yes, they are most certainly trying to disarm gun owners; do you really believe it will end with so-called "assault weapons?" Very unlikely; you give idiots like Feinstein and inch and she will take a mile before you know it.

Concerning Feinstein, I wrote to a friend...

"So it looks like Feinstein has climbed out of her slime pit to once again exploit the murder of innocent children in an attempt to confiscate your guns and attack the US Constitution. Nice one, Diane; never miss an opportunity, do you?!"

"The beauty of the 2nd Amendment is that it won't ever be an issue unless a tyrannical government takes it away from the People." ~ Thomas Jefferson

Want to know what Feinstein is REALLY up too, Art? Read this, its down right scary...

...That's just like my opinion, man.

Well said,dude!
The whole "high-powered",and "cop-killer" bullets are just scare tactics!
Such misinformation is everywhere.
There was a shooting here, and it was reported that the man was killed by a "automatic revolver".
Yes,I wrote the reporter, asking about this magical weapon.

I am using my "low-powered" .38,and my other "low-powered" .45 for home defense..
These pitiful "low-powered" rounds will kill you.dead.period.
CNN is full of shit, and always be on the side of people like feinsten, and will use crazy scare tactics that WORK on the fucking SHEEP that listen..

If I've got to get shot, I want it to be by one of those high powered cop killer bullets. My odds of survival will be greatly improved by suffering a much smaller and cleaner wound channel.
I'm just gone, man, totally fucking gone.

Something tells me the reporter isn't familiar with this fact but Webley did make an "Automatic Revolver."  It looks similar to other Webley revolvers of the period with a noticeable split slightly above the trigger guard.  The whole top of the revolver would move back under recoil rotating the cylinder and cocking the hammer.
