I've always thought that it was asking for trouble to wish for a lebowski sequel. When I watched crazy heart I was sure of it. All of us self styled dudes could see it as a cautionary tale of what can happen to the dudeist lifestyle if you let the darkness of unchecked hedonism warsh over. In crazy heart, bridges character grasps for intimacy and connection on a sea of addiction. It's what can happen to the best of us without the balance of human connection and love.
