The comma indicates two SEPARATE thoughts;

   1. A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state. This is stating the purpose of owning weapons (besides self defense), without a "well regulated militia" a free state is in serious jeopardy from outside or inside attack.

   2. In order to have a "well regulated militia" THE PEOPLE must "keep and bear arms." In other words, the arms are in the hands of the people, not some central government location, so that NO government, foreign or domestic, can take the freedom and liberty from the people because they, the government, control the arms. In other words; in order to have a viable effective well regulated militia of the people (notice it does NOT say a "government regulated militia), THE PEOPLE are to control the weapons personally. That is only common sense.

   3. It was well understood at the time of the creation of the US Constitution that the people would be free to own, possess and bear arms.

Well said sir,and to all the gun grabbing cocksukers who live in secure utopian enclaves,I live in what the political correct pukes like to call a transitional neighborhood.It is my duty and ingrained genetic man code to protect my family.Being a firefighter i've seen lots of folk shot and killed waiting on police response.This is not to criticize police they are spread thin and some dumb ass departments have SOP's that mandate they wait on a swat team.Being away from home on 24 hour shifts I have trained my wife to be proficient in both shotgun and pistol so she will have a fighting chance if the need arises.This my friend is the fucking reality in America i'm in the streets seeing this happen,And I'll be God damed if some slick headed Washington suit wearing out of touch with reality dick thinks he will take this right from me.The criminal pukes will always be armed the only thing that keeps those vermin at bay is the possibility of a gun behind every door.

The allies did which America played a big part in and we are all thankful but it also came down to hitler deciding to fight Russia as well. If they had focused on the west and left Russia alone for a while longer it may have all gone differently.
