So it just occurred to me:

If the Dude found himself in the zombie apocalypse...

How long would he make it?

Honestly, I see him just gathering a commune of fellow Dude types to work a farm with walls.  Maybe Sobchak Security could provide protection.

A Stoned Buddha

I'm thinking not long. The Dude was the man for his time and place. He fit right in there. The Zombie apocalypse however, I just don't think is a good fit for his skill set. I'm not sure he'd make it off the couch in time. To survive in The Walking Dead universe you need to make smart, hard fast decisions. That's not really what the Dude is known for. So I don't know, maybe with a few Walters hanging around him he might do fine, but on his own I'm thinking the Dude is toast. Well, that's just like, my opinion man. Keep it easy man!

I love the dude and would hope his seed would be planted in a new generation of apocalypse survivors but I strongly doubt he would make it. A head full of white Russians and weed is no way to get out of the initial shit storm that I imagine would be the zombie outbreak.

If I made it and stumbled across a man like the dude, I would count myself lucky though!

Looking at how the Dude dealt with the Nihilists, I'd reckon he wouldn't fair well, but I have no doubt Walter would burst into his house and take control and through some outrageous and crazy stunt, keep them both alive.
Keep it simple man, take it easy.

I think he would struggle once the half n half ran out. If he was at home he should be sound. I've never seen a zombie movie where they open a door by pulling it :)

The Dude might say "fuck it, lets get us a lane. You happy now, you crazy fucks!"

Ya know, the Dude survived by surrounding himself with diverse personalities.  I imagine he'd be like a more laid back Governor than zombie chow.  Instead of Woodbury, I'd see him holed up in a nice commune with some crops of various sorts growing during the year.  Gotta feed the body and the soul, amirite?

One fence, plenty of food and weed, and some friends to take care of the walkers... Sounds about right.

I just had to use this opportunity:

To answer the topic, The Dude and Walt would go bowling in a shopping mall and fortify it against zombies. Besides, bowling balls make good zombie defense weapons. At least I think so. And should any zombie break through - they'd be entering a world of pain...

That said, he certainly won't keep any zombies out by barring any doors or windows! LOFL
"Is this a... what day is this???"

Pardon for the pic spam, but here's another one.

Just replace Dixon with The Dude and whatever's in the bottle with the White Russian :)
