I am a hockey watching dude,and my hockey season has been denied,since the league,and the players union cant come to a contract agreement...what a bummer!
I dont know if both sides are being human paraquat's,or what,but all I know is they dont seem to even have any contract talks set up like..SOON.to work this shit out...
Is it all about these guys feeding the monkey,or the love of the game?
Dudes,I played a bit of hockey in my time....I would play FOR FREE to play at that level...
But,thats just like,my opinion,man...

I caught the bug living in Canada.
The glow has faded for me back in the states but I still watch.
I'm a Senator's fan since that was my spot in Canada.
I could look out my window at what was then the Corel center where the Sen's played.
Now the Scotia Bank place or some such thing.

Its just too intense,man!
The lock out has me bummed out,since I am not a fan of any other sport..hockey watching really tied the long winter months together for me,you know?

Yeah man I enjoy hockey very much, and used to play a little as a kid, but I have to say I'm to the point of saying fuck it with the NHL. They didn't figure it out when they had the first strike how badly it affected the sport and the fan base? It's already too expensive to go to games as it is, and hockey unlike football and baseball, it has a much more narrow appeal therefore the demand isn't there nor is the fan base and well money. The more they prolong the strike, the more the fan base will dwindle, too. I'd like it to come back so I can watch the Wings and get totally un-Dude and yell at the TV, but honestly now I don't care that much, man. There's a local OHL team that we can go watch that's just as much fun and much more affordable, should we get the itch to do so. I also never liked football much, but have resorted to watching that on TV until baseball season starts up. Fuck it.

I played as a kid during my days in Nova Scotia, but these days I'm a fan but not diehard. I root for my local team, the Carolina Hurricanes. I'm not demolished when they lose, though.

Been following the developments ( or lack of) since day one.
I miss it,I really do miss it,but these 2 sides have fucked things up badly here!
I hate baseball,could care less about football,ever since my man Walter Payton retired,and basketball? please,dude..spare me..
Hockey is all I enjoy on the old look-it box!
Any one but true die-hards like me have walked away,and they have crippled the sport for many years to come,and it may never recover.
There are a lot of ins and outs,and what have yous in all this shit,but the bottom line is these guys seem to have never had any real urgency to get a deal done..right now,its become a big game of chicken,or some sort of ego boosting pissing contest.
Im bummed out,because I could be seeing the end of the NHL as we know it.
I dont mean to be a dick,but this is not a strike,this is a lockout-the owners locked out the players,cuz they did not want to work under the old CBA.
The players,for their part,said they were cool with the old CBA,and were willing to play under it,until a new deal could be reached.
Then again...the owners wanted to start working on a new deal way in advance,but the players said no,lets wait...
Then YET again...the players said that they were screwed over in the last deal..its confusing as hell.
Both sides share the blame,I think,but no one side will admit it.
As of now,they are thinking of dissolving the union completely-could be a big bluff on the players part,or this could be it for the NHL,since it would spend ages in the courts,with the big winners? The lawyers!
A sad sad day,hockey fans,indeed a sad day...fuck it..I have been floating my own idea for a new league-the lingerie hockey league! Who wants in?
