Thousands of previously classified documents on UFOs have been released by the Ministry of Defence.

They reveal tales of one man being abducted by aliens, a Lancaster bomber shadowed by a strange craft and an RAF officer having a close encounter while on holiday in Sri Lanka.

The files reveal how in the 1970s the phenomenon was even debated in the House of Lords.

This is a subject which endlessly fascinates me. I believe there is other life out in the universe, I just don't believe that it visits us on a daily basis. While there have been some truly odd encounters, which cannot be readily explained, I think most can be.

All of my life, I have wanted to have a close encounter. Seriously. However, and very unfortunately, all of the encounters I have had have come after a few too many caucasians or oat sodas. )
