Was this kid on psychoactive and psychotropic drugs like other kids who have shot up schools?

BUSTED IN SCHOOL...When I was a kid and misbehaved in school it was SHOOTING SPIT WADS at other kids in class thinking my teacher didn't see. I was also busted on my last day in Junior High (yes, that is what we used to call Middle Schools), yup busted, for carrying A GUN...AND IT WAS LOADED, and as far as I was concerned, it was lethal...it was a great squirt gun I had bought that morning for 75 cents to squirt other kids who brought their guns too, lots of squirt guns we were packing that day, the last day in Junior High before summer vacation and then going on to Senior High.

I was busted because I was caught shooting, sorry, squirting another kid outside my history class (who was also trying to get me first). The teacher, as was her policy when confiscating dangerous weapons from us kids, took it from me, looked at it, commented on how cool it was and then dropped it on the ground and crushed it. I was devastated, it was a great squirt gun!! My school weapon of choice was gone, I was disarmed! Alas! But no worries, I had "shot" enough other kids that day to be satisfied.

So, what is happening to our schools? Kids coming to school with machine guns, hand guns, semi-automatic weapons, serious weapons far beyond anything we even knew much about. Kids hell bent on killing other kids and teachers? Why?

When I was a kid, we strangely didn't have TCADS, oh that stands for "Teen Aged Classroom Attention Deficit Syndrome." You made that up, you say! Yes I did, just like drug companies helped to make up all kinds of phony "syndromes" of which they also just happen to have an entire litany of some very powerful and VERY profitable drugs that will save the day for any kid suffering from their version of TCADS.

In my day, if we had TCADS, the teacher had several drugs too; a yard stick smashed across our desks and a stern "pay attention!" Or, 500 times writing on the blackboard after school "I will pay attention to Mrs. Santory when I am in class." 500 doses of that and we were cured of TCADS. Trust me, a VERY affective drug. If we needed more doses, well, no problem...we got to visit the V.P.'s office and his "drug" was 2 swats on our behinds using what one V.P. use to call his "board of education." Another very affective drug, one that really worked. One swat and I was cured instantly of TCADS, 2 swats and it was for life. I was a fast learner. And no one got shot.

If we needed a prescription, the teacher could supply that also; it was called a "letter home to the parent." A prescription we all feared. If I ever got one of those, well, walking home that day (YES, we WALKED home) wasn't fun. Neither was a week on detention; no TV, no phone calls, no going out to hang out with my friends, and NO fun. That was also a good cure for TCADS. Drugs in the past few years have most decidedly changed.

So, how long is this going to continue? ...

Society(and parents mostly) are breeding these little sociopaths like weeds. They tell the kids that they're God's gifts, meanwhile they don't nurture them along and let them know it's ok to fail as well as succeed. It's fucked man, and prolly won't change. If anything it'll get worse in time.

Sadly, JD, I think you are correct; its going to get worse before it gets better. Nothing ever changes; at least not very quickly. We had better look outside that window.
