For me making my own soap is abiding. It's like Fight Club without the fighting (or human lipids). This is a social activity I do with good friends. It's mellow, it's relaxing, I don't pay tax on it and it's high in extra virgin olive oil. No dude, I didn't say we get high on olive oil. Abiding is the vibe man.

I don't got no problen with the iconography of Lebowski but I aint stuck on it.

I don't got no problem with religion, because we get to define what Dudeism is.

Happy to abide in both camps.

Right now me and Mrs Rockbury are cooking up a hybrid of Dr Greg Baer's 'Real Love' and Dudeism.
We're going to call it 'Loveism' (what else).

What no human lipids, shame!

Boston... good to hear from you.  How's the meditation centre going?

ps... making soap in France?  There's a stereotype in there somewhere, begging to be played out... :/

Thanks, DB :)
I've been having a bit of a George Nelson, same as usual.  I run hot and cold on things all the time, and that includes the forum here.  For a while I'm on it all the time, and then suddenly I just don't feel like it anymore and stop coming on.  Same with reading, gaming and just about any pastime of mine.  Give it a few months and I'll slink away again in a hearbeat for another stint.  Still, whilst I'm in a strikes phase I might as well roll a few until I hit a gutter :)

I have been considering a new DP article on that very issue, actually... just not quite there yet to getting my brain to warm to the idea.  Strikes and Gutters, the George Nelson effect :)

"I run hot and cold on things all the time" seems to me to be a very dude-like regiment, Rev.; gettin' a lane, giving notes, rolling, driving around, and then taking time to slack off, jump in the tub, burn a J, fix a Caucasian, etc. A good example of dudeism if I ever heard one.

Good to hear from you too Rev. Meditation centre didn't work out so I've switched to large scale cannabis production - pretty boring but the money's good.
