Well articulated. The human mind is a complex thing; I had a father-in-law who had a double phd in math and physics, yet believed in the bible. It's truly a case of leaving your brains at the door for some kind of personal gain...

That's where Bhagavad Gita and Tao Te Ching come handy. God does not need to be good or bad in the human sense of the word. Nature does not need to be good or bad. We need to learn as much as possible as living creatures, nice things and sh#t. The whole world is a playground for people, educational stuff with experimenting. The Bible goes less neutral in this case, creating a sharp division between the Old and the New Testament, the furious old man vs. the young suffering son.
