Been reading up on some aspects of "Taiji" and as I was reading the thought came to mind of "Dudeist Taiji." Could there be such a thing, or would the notion of Taiji speak of a rigid and dogmatic trap that hinders Dudeist thought and openness to many points of view.

Would the establishment of (in some dude's minds) "Taiji" Dudeism or "Ultimate" Dudeism seem elitist and closed minded to other thoughts and concepts of Dudeism which would be perceived as "Lessor" Dudeism if there was an Ultimate "Taiji" Dudeism?

A Wiki article on Taiji makes this comment..........

Taiji 太極 (literally "great pole") is a Chinese cosmological term for the "Supreme Ultimate" state of undifferentiated absolute and infinite potentiality, contrasted with the Wuji 無極 "Without Ultimate". Taiji is best known in the West from the name Taijiquan (or T'ai chi ch'uan) 太極拳 "Supreme Ultimate Fist"

Common English translations of the cosmological Taiji are the "Supreme Ultimate" (Le Blanc 1985, Zhang and Ryden 2002) or "Great Ultimate" (Chen 1989, Robinet 2008); but other versions are the "Supreme Pole" (Needham and Ronan 1978), "Great Absolute", or "Supreme Polarity" (Adler 1999).

Is there "Supreme Ultimate Dudeism?" Or, could it be said that such a notion must be exhausting, man?

True, Hominid dude, Dudeism is not combat. But as always, we all seem to be seeking the rules less Dudeism turn into Nam. Fuck, I hate rules when it comes to new ideas and new ways of thinking. Am I wrong, or just an asshole?

Methinks Tai Chi and Qigong are already Dudeist in their essence. The only thing that would really comprise "Dudeist Tai Chi" is a Dudeist practicing it.  :)

Digital B always has something to make me ponder, and I'm almost reminded of Lebowskiists and Dudeists (to M5's theory), and if that doesn't relate.

But my opinion rests with that dudeism is acknowledgement of ignorance of ultimate or supreme knowing, and the growth of ones spirtual self.

we abide...we don't govern or impose.

imho man.    I'm always seeking teachers. (not that I claim to be a supreme, but I don't think any of us can)

Help me out here dudes?
You're damned if you dude, you're damned if you don't.

Indeed, Koog. The more you learn, the less you know.

And greetings to you Caesar. Thankee kindly for the warm welcome.  :)

I reckon, being as dude as you can, is enough, is it not?  "The thing about perfection, is, it's unknowable" - Kevin Flynn. Sure, having aspirations/ dreams of "the absolute", is fine and all, but walking the enlightened path is exhausting, man.
