I don't quite understand what Maude means by the "parlance of our times". English is not my first language, maybe that why I have problems unterstanding it in that context. Thanks a lot!

The definition of parlance is manner of speaking, vernacular, or idiom.  So "parlance of our times" is referring to what the phrase, word, etc, means in today's language.  Slang or common usage would be other ways of looking at it.

So when Maude says that Bunny is "banging Jackie Treehorn," the word "banging" in today's slang means "having sex with" or however else you would like to say it.

Does this make sense?

German is my first language, but I have been in the U.S. for nearly a year now. I am happy I am not the only one who is totally obsessed by the movie

"Parlance of our times" is a way of referring to a specific meaning of a word or phrase at a certain point in time.  When the Dude uses it though, he used it incorrectly.  The Dude, and other characters in the film, likes to repeat things he hears other people say, however, The Dude doesn't always know what he's talking about.

You could interpret it to mean that Maude was expressing "what is a reality, a trend, an attitude, a modern standard of behavior or excepted in our times by most people."
