I had hoped for better from Obama. Turns out he is just another Fascist dickwad reactionary.
They don't understand the Karma here dudes. If they really want to turn this country around all they need do is decriminalize marijuana.
Don't even have to legalize it dude, just decriminalize it.
The Karma that would Butterfly thought this country would be nothing less than amazing. 8)

The bill that Ron Paul and others have put before congress is pretty cagey actually.
I allows some to vote for it without looking soft of drugs.
It allows them to support state's rights while doing the sensible thing.
Most politicians are afraid of looking soft on drugs so they just don't see any political capital in supporting legalization or decriminalization or what have you.
Which of course is a perfect example of why politics is evil.

The bill is not an attempt to legalize pot, the authors insist, but is instead intended to clear up the conflicts between federal and state law that exist throughout the country. As many as 16 states currently allow the use of medical marijuana, an allowance that falls into direct conflict with federal law.

Basically if they just left it up to the states to make their own policies then things would change pretty fast.

What this drug war needs is for a State to come into play against the Feds. If a state grew and sold the shit, what would the Feds do then? But no. The States (even the ones that allow it) are being candy-asses and leaving it all up to Individuals who haven't got the resources to oppose the Feds.
To conquer the world, take it easy.
If you must do something, do a J
and let the world conquer itself.

I know its a tangent, but Arizona tried standing up to the Feds and they were labeled bigots. I believe Obama had pushed for legal actions to be taken against the state.

Somewhere on the forums, I just saw it tonight, there is a petition that was sent to the U.N. to legalize/take a new approach towards drugs. A petition to the U.N. is great and all, but there are several countries that participate in the U.N. and have legalized drugs or at least treat it as a non-criminal activity. If people really wanted to show the government that we want change then we would have to get a physical petition, so they can understand how many signatures there are and know they come from the state they represent, and send them to those that represent us in the Federal government.

It still grinds my gears that every flavored cigarette was banned in the U.S. except for Menthol, make me wonder if that's the preferred flavor of the pres and his congressional buddies.

I had just watched a documentary on Netflix about Tennessee's fight to grow Hemp. Tried to find it with a Google search but found this along the way!

Well clearly they should go ahead and just stop putting the psychotropics in the water anyways. I mean if they aren't going to put in the good stuff then whats the point?
