I'm really sorry man. I was looking for the nihilist self-help group and I seem to have wandered into the wrong room.

Sorry Boston but the nihilist group dismantled themselves sometime back. They had a problem finding anything to agree on...but we did give them their own rug: http://dudeism.com/smf/index.php?topic=1898.0

I'd love to find my inner Dude, but I know when I'm on to a loser - I've never been any good at bowling. I can't even imagine perfecting that wrist-twist thing that puts a spin on the ball. I might just tag along with the forum for a while as a kinda hanger-on. I'm still recovering from having my rug pissed on at the Richard Dawkins forum. Some of those scientists are pretty reactionary.

"Nihilist self help", that has an interesting paradoxical feel, I dig it.

Some would argue that there are no "accidents", so by that thinking you turned up exactly where you were supposed to.

Welcome to the resort Boston dude, I'm sure any dude here will share space on his rug till you can replace the one the Dawkinists peed on.

Yep, you are obviously not a golfer.

Yeah, I try to avoid Religious reactionaries as much as possible any more. And make no mistake Scientific Atheism is a Religion as it is practiced by Dawkins and his ilk. I prefer the non preachiness of Dudeism myself. Also played around with The Church of the Apathetic Agnostics before coming to Dudeism: http://uctaa.net/
Love their motto: "We don't know and we don't care!" A sort of Nihilistic view itself.

I mean, if it isn't fun...why bother?

That's very kind of you. The problem is it was a special rug, made from the fibres of medicinal herbs. I can't get a new one until they've done clinical trials.
