So this guy who watches a lot of NASA tv, and stuff finds a weird image on mars that looks like a habitat structure. The pictures look genuine, but a bunch of 'scientists' or so they say, are saying that it was cosmic ray interference...

the video was removed when i tried to watch it.

i'm trying to find the original, but no luck so far.

ok here is one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XpQDQiF8YXU  what do you dudes think?
You're damned if you dude, you're damned if you don't.

;D Yeah, Dude - saw this last night (link via The Anomalist http://sightingufo.com/possible-mars-space-station-located-using-google-mars; it's a pretty cool ride to Mars, alright.
Fuckin' interesting stuff - according to user comments on you tube (watched vid at both sites) it is actually there - whatever it is - they give the coordinates (via link) and one user remarked they he/she could see that it had three banded colours as if the 'structure' had been painted. I don't wanna download Google Earth or Mars onto my wee laptop so I haven't tried the coordinates, myself. Not understanding the cosmic interference thing; how would interference give the same results at different times/days? Anyway, will be keeping an eye on this one.

Did you see that part at the top? I think it was a McDonalds sign...

GOOS peace!

I don't know, it's really not possible to tell from that. The resolution is not nearly good enough.

People have been seeing structures on Mars for as long as we have been observing it. First there were the "canals". In the early to mid 90s, Richard C. Hoagland tried making a name for himself by claiming he had photographic evidence of ruined structures on Mars. He used the really poor photos we had at the time and showed how the features on them fitted together to form the cities and military structures of a long dead alien race. He was also one of the leading voices behind the whole face on Mars thing, which was later debunked once we had higher resolution photos, as were all of his previous theories.

Oh well. It is an interesting video. I love stuff like that.

I could have sword I saw the words "the dude abides" written on the side of it.  ;D Now wouldn't that be fucking way cool!

All kidding aside, that's wild man; I wonder what the fuck it is?

Poor us, with our measley technologies! I want a good look at it, not a fuzzy, low-res sat pic... does astral-projection viewing count, you suppose?

Well it looks just like the space station we have above earth. A long tube like thing.

plus it's white. And has hard edges.

I have a degree in film, and it doesn't look like any sort of 'light distortion' to me. Considering lighting is 95% of film making, this one should have been easy.

A burn mark, (the cosmic ray interference) would have filled the lens, and made whatever amount of pixels seen distorted, but it's specifically a little shape like a rectangle. Also, it would have to been a direct light flash. But seeing as MARS was standing in the way of any light between the imager, the cosmic ray must have bounced off of something, maybe the reflective snow or another planet, or moon, or a space station to reach the lens at that angle, and a cone must have deflected the lens from being completely flashed by the cosmic ray.  But according to the scientists, it's an anomoly so that may also explain everything.

If you ask me, it's someones pratical photoshop joke or it's an actual object.

there used to be a time about 4 years ago when you could still tell if someone used photoshop, but now it's so easy to manipulate and hard to tell.
You're damned if you dude, you're damned if you don't.
