Deprevation tanks...Ever try one?

I'm decided to set an appointment and give it a go, because I actually have a 'disorder' called sleep paralysis, which although slightly scary and annoying sometimes, just makes me curious about lucid dreaming and 'moon walking' or astral projection.

I think I may have actually done it one time, I say think, because I can't know for certain other than it was the strangest senation of being both asleep, aware of my sleep state, and where my actual earthbound body was, and also having the freedom of movement like an out of body experience (to best of knowledge). Why I'm not sure, is because I was so surpised by it I couldn't hang on to the sensation, and it was hard to 'move' in this state.

Anyway, I try to do it by myself, but I psyche myself out and either get freaked out I'm going to 'have a bad time', that I just lay awake all night without sleep, or do actually have a waking nightmare. Which is always shit.

Binarual beats are auditory medicine that's supposed to realign your mental state to help but, so far, it's only seemed to do more damage for me.  Any of you dudes get some cosmic voyage time?
You're damned if you dude, you're damned if you don't.

So how did it go, dude?

I have to go out of state for it. There is no chamber in my area. So I'll have to make a real "trip" out of it.

Does Levitation count?
Yeah, for years late at night when my mind was too active to get to sleep I used to try levitating myself. What I discovered was you cannot fight gravity and force your body up. You have to remember gravity is an illusion and surrender it. The more you fight against illusions the more power you invest in them and the stronger they become. You need to surrender them...just let them go like gossamer fluttering in the breeze.
Just make yourself comfortable, relax your body a part at a time beginning with your toes and feet, your lower leg, your upper leg...etc...then when you get to your head, let gravity flow out of your whole body.
Did it ever work? Fuck if I know. Whenever I attempted it, the next thing I knew it was morning and I slept right through the night.
I haven't attempted levitating for awhile. Now that I'm retired I don't really need it...I stay up till I'm sleepy and sleep till the crack of noon...sometimes later!

It's just a good relaxation technique to calm your mind and relax your body, but if I ever did manage to start levitating I would probably scare the shit out of myself! ;D

Through my research I ended up speaking with a 'man who stares at goats' the other day. It was extremely enlightening.

He seemed extremely knowledgeable over the phone, and was understanding of the techniques. His description of the way energy works was less of a transferance of energy, and more of a consumption of it. If your body is storing up energy that isn't being used, it will find was to use without you doing much.
Sex in any form is basically a no no if you're planning on astral travel, etc.
People that can physically do 'higher energetic preternatural acts', don't do them often because it is in all actuality a drain, and the body fights against it like white blood cells fight against a virus. The body is here to keep perpetuating life, so we survive, and can progress the other dimensions. The body is a vessel for the mind.  If we use it to blow shit up with mind bullets, or walk through walls, we are drained and leave the body vulnerable and weak.  And the deeper you go, the more it resists. All the breathing techniques and chi harnessing, and karma stuff, helps significantly. But no one knows for certain how or why it's all possible. Basically, everyone is in the dark, and trying to figure it out still. How to re=energize, and be able to perform at our highest potential is the goal, but were just too stupid to figure it out. Super powered monks live in isolation to understand the mind and universe, it serves no purpose here to do amazing things, but they have been used before. Monks would stay in isolation up to 7 years, (some did die), and then learn to use a trance state to run at super human speeds over mountains to send messages to the British at the time (documented UK military, according to him).  Goats did actually die, two occasions he knew of during US military testing. There was no staring at the actual goat, it was "remote viewing", and it was as if the goats heart had been exploded with a shotgun with only an entrance wound. Men who could locate, weapons or bombs simply by staring at a map, were removed from his unit and never seen again. (maybe all bullshit, but he seemed legitimate for someone who didn't ask for money).  Evangelicalist healers, were used by the church to make money, but before he was a remote viewer for army, he actually did do that on a farm with his family, and they did not take money. It was purely for love, and healing purposes. The church said " you can make money with this", and when they refused, the church closed down their family mission, and had them banned, and called witches. Then the church took it as an act.  He recommended Guy Sevelli,  The dancing wu-li masters, and Qigong breathing techniques, and was pretty clear that an Isolation chamber (which he owned) will not solve any problems, give you any conclustions, make you richer or do anything but relax you and give you a mental reset.  And if you want to use his float tank, he will accept anything you can give him as he is not in it to make money, but still has to pay for the salts and any help is appreciated. Apparantly the guy who was there with him that day mowed the lawn while his wife was in the tank, so I imagine he may be kind of a dude. Anyway.

I still want to do it, but it will have to wait till June/July
until then!

I haven't tried deprivation chambers before, but I would like to. They do sound pretty far out.

As for the other stuff, I have dabbled in binaural beats a bit, and gotten some pretty awesome effects from them. Usually just that spacey, floaty feeling. I should probably get back into that sometime.

Caesar dude

Deprivation sounds serious dude....I prefer the prefix sensory or indeed the new name Isolation Chamber... I think I'd rather be isolated than deprived...but that's just me... :)

Deprivation just seems so harsh...

Isolation...well you can find that in nature and still not be deprived...

In mdop of course.

Peace.
