Adding pictures in a post

I have been trying add pictures to a post, but the post gets rejected, and says I can't post links?

Take the entire link to any image and place it between...



...Note the " / " before img on the one at the end of the code. No spaces between any letter or symbol.

Thats not to do with the new limit on new posters not allowed to post links until after a certain number of posts.
