Cake dude, have been noticing the governments trying to get the net under control?

DB they don't understand that trying to do that will just move the internet outside of their control. They invented a system designed to circumnavigate any attempts to control and block it (just to collect their intelligence data during the cold war), and fail to realise that all it will do is react the way it was developed to and cut the US out of the system. Well done the US government. It's nice to see they are as stupid as the UK government (who are working particularly hard at the moment to make the UK a third world country).

But this is the way of politicians everywhere they are all trying to mess with stuff they are badly under educated to deal with.

I go back to Billy Connolly's point of view that the first thing to disqualify someone from becoming a politician is the fact that they want to become a politician.
"I have noticed even people who claim everything is predestined, and  that we can do nothing to change it, look before they cross the road."

Yeah, the screws are tightening-up - not sure that the average Joe (like myself) will be able to circumnavigate any grand government firewalls. We are not privy to the all the tech they have. However, like M5's positive take on it and hope that proves to be the case.
