I have always liked Winnie the Pooh. There not only is the Tao of Pooh but Pooh and the philosophers. The Tao of Pooh explains taoism using Pooh and Pooh and the philosophers explains some of the greatest philosophers using Pooh. Can not go wrong with Pooh.

Definitely a dude.  Winnie the Pooh was as laid back as any character in literary history.
Jack Burton was a dude. When the going gets tough, Jack Burton sez: "What the hell."
