Marijuana question.

Hello Dudes. If this topic is unseemly, even here, or cannot be addressed on this public forum with ease, but you want to discuss it with me, to help an old Dude out, feel free to PM me.
I would like to smoke pot, I really would. When I was a kid 30 odd years ago, as long as the pot was some 'homegrown/shitweed' I was fine, anything GOOD, with the fancy names, was not so good for me, dry mouth, paranoia etc.
So by the time I was 17 i was DONE with pot. No big deal. I dont drink either because it just makes me sick, a sip or two and Im literally having tummy cramps. So imbibing is not an option. But I want it to be, I want to be able to enjoy THE RITUAL, of rolling a joint, and going into my backyard, watching the california clouds roll by, feeling DUDE in that special way i know i used to be able to feel.
I have a pipe and rolling papers and I have a WHOLE box full of things like 'native american smoking blend' and damiana mixes with mugwort, catnip, all sorts of things, and i enjoy them, i love the smell etc but there is no SLIGHT change of consciousness which i would really like to experience, much like the Dude does, off and on all day long lol! ( "Yes, Jeff", the brothers would say,"he probably DID 'burn one' on the way over here"
I dont want a medical marijuana card, I've tried other peoples various smokes and they were WAY to powerful, I just want to have a cheap dime bag of some not too potent shit like we used to get when I was but a young Dude.
What can I do? Let's not forget, let's NOt forget Dudes, that I am a 50 year old woman, I dont have any friends who smoke, and although I am sorely tempted when I am on craiglist and i see someone selling a 'grow system' or a 'bong' im temped to contact them. But I am not a fucking moron, don't worry. I'm just an asshole.

If it affects you negatively, don't smoke it, certainly no one has to, it's a choice.

You might need a medical marijuana card, I can only think of strains that are lower in thc made specifically for patients who can't handle the intense dankness.

It is precisely the hint of paranoia that must be counteracted with the big "fuck it".
Mind over matter really.
Besides I truly believe it is a bit revelatory. The paranoia is there all the time. Just tuned up on weed. Just like the way it turns up Music, food, sex etc.
Everything is raised to a higher level.
We must all confront the gaping darkness at the center of our soul.
We are better for it.
Or just go bowling. Whichever.

Well I love in bc where we have pretty lax pot laws it's not legal. But unless your driving, growing, or carrying over 30grams it's like a parking ticket. If your caught the cops will usually just take your weed and not bother with anything more. So it's pretty wildly available in many strains and potencies. If smoking it gives you a bad trip try a cookie or brownie it's a different stoned. Or just smoke very small amounts to get the buzz going.

My body decided that it does not like any kind of strange stuff. As a kid with spasticity I was given some medicine more complicated than aspirin and I just puked every time. Finally they decided it did more harm than good to me. Nowadays I cannot drink any energy drinks for the same reason. And every pill I take I need to chew for a few minutes to swallow it. As for alcohol, it makes me sleepy immediately, so no chance to drink all night long, sleep like a baby. Looks like I cannot be Madonna&Chris Walken 'Bad Girl'-style.

I feel like weed isn't for everyone and you shouldn't force your self to take it and you shouldn't push yourself if you feel like the end result wouldn't be worth it but i can recommend you at least try it again p.s getting a medical card is very very easy you can do it over the phone and the budtenders at the dispensary will be happy to help you and recommend something to your needs i am sure.

Or better yet I'll ask here. Is it normal to taste weed a week or so after you last smoked it? I smoke in patterns and it's been lighter lately.

Not saying I've been tasting it nonstop, only a handful of times..
