First of all I want to say that I am simply observing the election process as a disinterested party. I don't feel like I have a dog in this fight and I have better things to do with a perfectly good Tuesday morning. But I would like to post a theory of mine based on what I see as the not-so-recent corruption of our electoral process and the political system overall including the Citizen's United thing.
I figure if one were to toss a sufficient number of soiled undergarments against a wall that eventually something will stick.
So here's my theory:
I've been hearing that the republican machine is making noises to the effect that if Trump wins the candidacy as a result of all the primaries that he will not be their candidate and that they may also skip over Cruz. That would put Kasich in as the republican nominee.
At that point I'm thinking that Trump will run as either an independent or as a third party candidate bringing three candidates to the general election in November. I'm thinking Trump, Kasich, and, presumably, Clinton.
As a result of there being three candidates in the general none of them will attain the required 270 electoral votes to win the presidency. Hence the House of Representatives will select the president and the Senate will select the vice president. In this scenario the owners will get the candidate that they need. As a sidenote we need to throw in the fact that Trump is one of the 1%. I am so fucking confused!
So, following the equation most simply stated as "if a chicken and a half lays an egg and a half in a day and a half how many pancakes does it take to shingle a doghouse?" I'm wondering if this is why all those government agencies bought all those millions of hollow point rounds. Including the Social Security Administration.
Just a little something to ruminate.
