It's quite a long read, and some of the historical references are a little dated, but I think this really rings true with some of our ideas. It's about how the rich elite promoted the idea of hard work being a virtue and leisure being bad, so that they could exploit the working classes. It also suggests a reduction in working hours, with plenty of time for people to pursue leisure, resulting in a more equal and peaceful society.

Worth a read if you're into philosophy. Bertrand Russell a Dude, who knew?

Peace

Reduction in working hours would be nice, My job tends to give me long hours when things go wrong, and after moving to the US from England I was just a little surprised at how little holiday we get here.
10 Days a year is normal for Holiday for most people? are you kidding? I had 25 in England.
I get 15 days plus the official holidays and it just seems to little, no wonder people here seem so high strung
