Taxpayers spent $1.4 billion on Obama family last year, perks questioned in new book

Taxpayers spent $1.4 billion dollars on everything from staffing, housing, flying and entertaining President Obama and his family last year, according to the author of a new book on taxpayer-funded presidential perks.

In comparison, British taxpayers spent just $57.8 million on the royal family.

Author Robert Keith Gray writes in ?Presidential Perks Gone Royal? that Obama isn?t the only president to have taken advantage of the expensive trappings of his office. But the amount of money spent on the first family, he argues, has risen tremendously under the Obama administration and needs to be reined in.

MARK IT ZERO! -

That's okay. I just pulled a nice loaf of sourdough bread out of the oven and I'm quite content with it.

I watched that video. LEGION are the fucks I do not give about some random dipshit's paranoid delusions. Sure, there's some truth in the video. None of the truth that it contains is hidden from view. It's all been available all along to any with the temerity to open a book or two. But what of it, anyway? None of that shit even matters. The powerful exploiting the weak is the ongoing story of our species, since long before civilization came into being, and I'm pretty sure that everyone of somewhat normal intelligence who's achieved the age of majority already knows it.

Sure, the ruling elite views the rest of us as not much more than beasts of burden. And some of us view Muslims as backward-ass terrorists who cannot appreciate the obvious superiority of our way of life. And others of us view those who live on the other side of some line drawn on a map as greedy parasites who wish only to suck the blood from our own societies. And so on. Such is the human condition and its rich traditions of thousands of years. BFD.

My own abiding ways don't facilitate an overarching concern with any of that shit, man. But to each his own.
I'm just gone, man, totally fucking gone.

Truth! And it just so happens that there are a few good cheeses hanging out in the refrigerator at the moment. And a couple of avocados just about peaking, which will meet up with some other goodies in my molcajete to become guacamole. And there's still a taste of that Chinese bootleg liquor that the guy who owns the takeout joint turned me on to... my biggest trouble is deciding which tasty treats to nosh on first. Worse things could happen! And they will happen, too, but for right now life is good.

I can't think of a better way just now.  8)

Oh, wait... Colorado just legalized cannabis. All I've got to do now is figure out where to get some.  ;D

Abide-amole was the final decision:

Ain't got time to worry over politricks with some abidingly righteous guacamole on hand. Or on chip, to be more accurate. I whipped that one out with fire roasted green chiles and garlic that I (oven) roasted night before last for, well, whatever the hell it was that I wanted it for.

Life's a party, man, don't forget the chips!
I'm just gone, man, totally fucking gone.
