Extreme cause involving a situation in which eventually "you fail = you die" or at least feel a strong pain. Like, bones breacking, lung cells exploding...
Wild cause it's all about our place in nature and so it gains a lot to be practiced in natural environment.
To me it's an important thing cause abiding our place in nature is one of the primal stage in order to know and accept who we are, what we are, fuckin little, fragile mortals, but able to do great things.
Plus discovering, learning about and feeling deeply nature is a great positive thing. I abide that too.
Fortunately for most of us, there are solutions making these activities secure even if it looks dangerous.
Well... Mostly secure. At least enough to limit risks to an acceptable level.
I love these "extreme wild abiding" ways. They are often quite technical stuffs so it is not an easy thing to be specialized in many practices. But with time we can try a lot and they are massive mindblows.
I've tryed...
- Horse riding
- Snowboarding
- Bodyboarding
- Kayaking
- Apnea
- Scuba diving
- Tree climbing, like enough to be trained and active instructor
It's pretty exhausting, but I abide strong connection btwn Nature and human asks for efforts, like carrying pounds of gear, being able to use it and sweating while doing it. Even suffering a bit because it can hurt. Life hurts, that's the way it is. These stuffs helps me abiding that too.
Have you felt this incredible perfection of here and now while a shark was swimming around you, a swinging tree holding you during strong wind, a wave lifting you hard above a reef, or the vacuum calling under your feet / board ? How was that ?
Do you too love feeling harmoniously in place in nature's magnificence thank to such activities ?
How much dudeist is this ?
