I inherited a Plastic Jesus on the dashboard of my car, and have thought of accessorising him with sunglasses and a beverage, but wonder if there might be call for a dedicated plastic mold in the image of JB...

Okay, Dude, have it your way.

personally i have a large walter figurine on my dash who makes me feel that sobchak security is really watching out for my ass. since i drive a nissan cube, a shag rug literally comes with the car for the dash so he is doing his best to 'abide' there while looking very threatening and holding the ringer and a bowling ball and a very stern look.

Cool, the boys in the crime lab might have some more leads if they're working in shifts. ;)

Slightly off topic but I wanted to share.  I have a small stone Buddha statue on my dashboard and years ago I wrote my own version of the ditty featured in Cool Hand Luke:

"I don't worry 'bout thieves or looters,
Long as I've got my little stone Buddha
Sittin' on the dashboard of my car.

Whether goin' to Frisco
Or drivin' through Parma
I'm on the expressway to Nirvana
With Buddha on the dashboard of my car!"

In Frisco* I had the renewal sticker stolen off my license plate while I was out on a tug boat shoot'n off the big guns (July 4th).  But then, I didn't have anything on my dash to protect the car.  :(

You wouldn't believe what a hassle it is to get that little sticker replaced!

* nobody here calls it Frisco.  :)

Ah, you must've forgot to renew your Karma Insurance!

Nobody anywhere calls it Frisco (unless they're talking about the melt), but "San Francisco" wouldn't fit the stanza.  :D
