The Fuckin' Pope

Mr. Tim Minchin (a Bard) says it with far more eloquence than I could ever muster:

For the You Tube weary, here are the lyrics:

    Fuck the motherfucker
    And fuck you, motherfucker
If you think that motherfucker is sacred
If you cover for another motherfucker who?s a kiddy fucker,
fuck you! You?re no better then the mother fucking rapist

And if you don?t like the swearing that this motherfucker forced from me
and reckon it shows moral or intellectual paucity
Then fuck you motherfucker, this is language one employs
when one is fucking cross about fuckers fucking boys.

I don?t give a fuck if calling the Pope a motherfucker
means you unthinkingly brand me an unthinking apostate.
This has naught to do with other fucking godly motherfuckers,
I?m not interested right now in fucking scriptural debate

There are other fucking songs and there are other fucking ways
I?ll be a religious apologist on other fucking days
And the fact remains if you protect a single kiddy fucker
then pope or prince or plumber you?re a fucking motherfucker.

You see, I don?t give a fuck what any other motherfucker
Believes about Jesus and his mother fucking mother.
I?ve no problem with the spiritual beliefs of all those fuckers
While those beliefs don?t impact on the happiness of others.

But if you build your church on claims of fucking moral authority
And with threats of hell impose it on others in society
Then you, you motherfuckers, can expect some fucking wrath
When it turns out you?ve been fucking us in our motherfucking asses.

    So fuck the motherfucker
    And fuck you, motherfucker
If you?re still a mother fucking papist
If he covered for a single motherfucker who?s a kiddy fucker,
Fuck the motherfucker! He?s as evil as the rapist.

And if you look into you mother fucking heart and tell me true
That this mother fucking stupid fucking song offended you
With its filthy fucking language and its fucking disrespect,
If it made you feel angry go ahead and write a letter.

But if you find me more offensive then the fucking possibility
The pope protected priests when they were getting fucking fiddly
Then listen to me motherfucker, this here is a fact:
You are just as morally misguided as that motherfucking power-hungry, self-aggrandizing bigot in the stupid fucking hat.

It's a proven fact, the pope does shit in the woods.

Catholic child molestation (VERY undude)............

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catholic_sex_abuse_cases

In 2004-FEB, CNN was able to view a draft copy of a survey prepared by the church. It reveals that 4,450 of the 110,000 Roman Catholic clergy (4%) who served between 1950 and 2002 have been accused of molesting minors. This has resulted in 11,000 individual abuse claims filed against Catholic clergy during that interval.

Thats what Guy Fawkes night is about every year (most people don't realise it's an anti-papist celebration).

Thanks for the stats and link, digitalbuddha - you can bet the numbers are a lot higher than that. Here's a worthy link, Stephen Fry gives forth on why the Catholic Church is not a force for good in the world: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xbvr0m_shortfilms

@ meekon5 Kinda miss Guy Fawkes night, I once made up a Thatcher Guy - felt good to see the flames grow higher (is that undude?). Now I am across the Atlantic it looks as if I will never be able to fulfill my ambition to micturate upon her grave (now that probably is undude).

I realize she has to expire first.

I lived in England for a few years as a kid (London and Bournemouth), I can still remember having fun at night around the Guy Fawkes bonfires. A dude-like celebration.

Micturate, I'm going to organise annual coach parties and a band to dance on it.

;D Wear some wellies if you are going to be dancing on it; the place will be like a swamp - take plenty of pics. It can't be too long now.

@digitalbuddha Forgot to ask, where abouts in London? I'm from the deep south of London, Sutton (near Cheam).

Ran a restaurant in Sutton years ago (The Belmont) and Rev klaus was brought up in the area.

Well, slap my thigh - I used to run "Roots Wholefood Cafe" in Grove Park, Carshalton: three Dudes on the forum, who've had the Sutton experience. What does that say about the place - are we all refugees? I have never dined at 'The Belmont' but I think we may have considered the place for our cafe - I could be thinking about somewhere else , though (t'was a long time ago). I can't say I miss the place much although the parks were nice - and I liked the Central Library, too. The Green Man (High Street) used to tie the place together, for me; before they turned it into a plastic palace (and then an Irish theme pub). Fuck it, the ball rolls ever on.

Not sure, cakebelly, it very well could have been the South of London. I lived there when I was 4, 5 and 6. I would have to ask my family where we lived. I'm not sure about Bournemouth either. I remember going to the beach on cold weekends and eating iced cream! I might be able to dig up a few old pictures. This was in the 70's. When we moved back to the States I had a slight British accent that I lost in a year or so.

Swinging! Dodgy!

Bournemouth, as I remember it, was a like a dude like place.

You're damned if you dude, you're damned if you don't.
