For years I have jokingly quoted lines from the movie with fictional chapter and verse numbers. For example Sobchak 3:16 states "This is not 'nam. This is bowling. There are rules." or Maude 23:17 "He's a good man, and thorough." and Donny 3:17, "your guys are dead in the water!" and so on. I was thinking the other day, has anyone taken the time to annotate the script with the run time of each line? Would it be possible to actually quote lines from the movie using the minute and second the line starts? Has anyone taken the time to do this or is it going to be up to me to get a copy of the script and do this myself? I have seen sites that have collected various quotes and have them separated by the speaker, but I have yet to see one that has a time stamp too. If anyone out there knows of someone who has done this or is able to take the time to do it please let me/us know. If no one has I might have to start this project in the new year.
A worthy fucking effort!
The new technology permits us to do exciting things with
interactive software. Wave of the future, Dude. 100% electronic.
I envision a website where you could enter a "topic" and get back a series of related quotes ordered by relevance.
It would take some up front collating work but if users could create new topics and associate them to quotes over time it would grow more and more precise.
I foresee wide adoption of the Dude quote generator.
